TopSkills publishes tutorial videos and self-instructional books to help home flight-simulation enthusiasts maximize enjoyment of their hobby by applying real-world aviation principles and techniques.
The business was formed in 1987 by Bill Stack as a management-consulting practice. Between 1987 and 2012, Bill consulted to government and private-sector auditing organizations including inspectors general and internal auditors.
Bill began writing flight-simulation books in 1997 and launched his website in 1998, to which he added new book titles every year. He began digitizing his books in 2005. His collection of seven books explains all aspects of simulating realistically from basic maneuvers, through navigation, instrument flights and advanced flight practices.
He has made 10 tutorial videos since 2012 that focus on operating the simulator and simulating realistically.
Having retired from management consulting in 2012, Bill now focuses his website exclusively on home flight simulation.
Flight simmers who enjoy realistic simulations have found Bill’s books and videos very beneficial:
“My flight simming experience has been markedly enhanced by his materials, and I consider it money well spent.” – Bryan Sweet of Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada
