This modern and accurate representation of the Piper PA-34 is a new addition to the SimShack store, and is a nod to one of the great American aircrafts that have been produced over the years. Created by the design team Carenado, this addition to your flight ranks is available for both FSX & P3D. Many of the aircraft in the game are light aircraft, and they are a very popular choice for novice flyers and veterans as they offer the fines balance between speed & power in the air but also offer easiness when controlling the aircraft.
This is take on the Seneca V, and has been accurately and faithfully re-designed to offer an authentic performance similar to what you would actually get from the real thing. With the amount of aircraft usable within flight simulators all the time, light aircraft are especially popular as they offer a fine blend of speed and power.
The entire design of the plane has been created to maximize design quality, without ever hindering performance. By using high-definition textures we make sure that even on the lower graphics settings the plane will still look as good as possible.
The detail put into each and every section of the design is remarkable, providing you with a list of liveries that should hopefully give you a favorable design – if not; you can design your own with a fully blank template to work from.
With every little detail taken care of from the scratches on the windows through usage to the lighting techniques used to illuminate the plane in a genuine manner you can make sure that your flight looks and feels as close to the real thing as possible.

Carenado are known for adding in extra touches and special additions to make their designs stand out – and this comes with fully working 3D knob technology that makes the cockpit view as engaging and realistic as it could possibly be. You feel like you are actually controlling each and every aspect of the plane there and then!
Additionally, the Carenado GS600 has been included which offers you terrain awareness and warning systems just as you would get in the genuine thing. This helps you avoid from flying too low or from hitting oncoming objects, and it also gives you real-time updates on vital parts of being in the skies. You received traffic advisory assistance as well so that when you are flying around in the air you aren’t going to come into any nasty surprises in the skies in front of you!
You also get a weather system so if you are flying towards a storm or a windy period you will be provided with advance notice so that you can adjust accordingly. These procedures have been included in accordance with experts who have first-hand knowledge of these planes, and these same fail-safe systems are being used in every Piper PA-34 in the sky
A Cold & Dark start option which means that you can decide whether or not the plane starts entirely shut off – meaning you need to go through the entire on/off process – or whether or not it’s ready to just boot into action and start flying. If you want to try and learn the whole process and see just how you would use and press every knob and button, this is ideal
Dynamic light has been added to this model so that it shines just as it would in the real world. Having used many different angles of footage to get the light absolutely spot on, this is the most realistic form of light you will get within the games engine – it pushes the lighting effects to the very limit of the games capacity
A volumetric side-view propellor effect, giving you a much clearer and easier view when you change how you are looking around
3D stereo sound pack to make the cockpit feel as comfortable and realistic as possible – if you were to take to the air in one of these plans in real-life, you would hear very similar sounds than you do in this recreation of this famous aircraft. The sounds have actually been recorded from an aircraft that was in live flight
The planes weight and balance have been thoroughly researched and put into the game to get the best performance possible. You want authenticity from a plane added into your game, and this gives you the most genuine weight and balance that the simulator will actually allow
Additionally, the real behavior of the plane has been adjusted using the experience, knowledge and first-hand usage of a Piper PA-34 by a series of pilots and experts to make sure that the plane flies at the very highest of standards of realism. Additionally, it has been actually live tested by pilots who fly this specific type of plane regularly, to get maximum calibration & professional opinion
GNS430 Reality XP Integration, for those users who feel like their flight simulation needs a little bit extra! This is a simulation of a GPS system that is fitted into the majority of these planes in real-life. If you want to use the same tools that you would have inside one of these planes in real-life, then this is an absolute must

Here we have another great American light aircraft, the Piper PA-34, faithfully recreated by the software development company, Carenado. This add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Lockheed Martin Prepar3D, features a beautifully crafted model of the Piper PA-34 Seneca V variant, with redesigned cowls that offer better performance, on top of an improved engine variant that comes complete with an intercooler. Of all the Piper PA-34 variants, it makes the most sense to bring the Seneca V into our simulated environments for us to enjoy.
The smooth model can be decked out in any of five high definition liveries (2048 x 2048) that contain a vast amount of detail. Alternatively, you can utilize the included blank texture to create your own custom livery and fly a one of a kind Piper PA-34. The quality of the textures matches the quality of the various special effects that come in to play, and work well to keep the level of detail consistent throughout the entire aircraft. These special effects include a lighting effect that simulates scratches on the windows, as well as a volumetric side view and dynamic shines on the propeller.
In the virtual cockpit, you will find two GNS430 and a Carenado G600 featuring 3D knob technology, which make using your instruments more intuitive, user friendly and more realistic. The G600 has three optional modes, TAWS (Terrain Awareness and Warning System), TAS (Traffic Advisory System) and WX (Weather), allowing you to get even more information in one place. A full PDF guide is included for both the G600 and GNS430, so you should have no problems learning how to get the most out of your new instruments.
The level of realism is boosted even further by a very high quality and original digital sound set that has been recorded from the real aircraft, and flight dynamics have been tested by real pilots to ensure that the performance and behavior of the aircraft feel completely authentic. This combination of top quality visuals, sounds and systems, results in an incredibly compelling flight experience that is both captivating and straight up fun; Carenado's Piper PA-34 is about as true-to-life as you can get.

The Carenado Seneca V is the 7th Carenado aircraft in my hanger and I'll have to say is my favorite. The detailing on this aircraft is what we have come to expect from Carenado......excellent, the flight character doesn't have that riding on rails feel and adds greatly to the feel of the aircraft. The G600 and GNS 430 navigation systems work great out of the box and I have felt no need to upgrade them with my Flight 1 software. So anyone looking for a piston engine twin to scoot around the wold blue yonder in.....this plane just may be the ticket.
