Volume 8 of the airfields and grass landing strips of the United Kingdom, courtesy of Neil Birch, offers another 20 such landing destinations for users of Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) 2020.
Perhaps the real beauty of this add-on is that many of these landing strips and airfields are in hard-to-find locations, each of which brings its own set of challenges for the virtual pilot when landing and taking off, not to mention the need for manual piloting in such locations.
As the developer himself notes, there has been “plenty of artistic license” involved in the creation of the airfields and landing strips, many of which are not necessarily supposed to “look like the real thing”. Most of the fields also have a Parking Spot.
The add-on also includes a fully-featured PDF which provides information for each airfield as well as real-world plates for selected airfields.
