Trying to give yourself some new life in a flight simulator can become quite tough after a while. The aircraft in the simulator itself can become a little stale for you, and it can make it difficult to keep logging in each day. When you’ve already used each aircraft for so long, can it really be worth sticking on FSX again? Well, with the amazing community and sheer amount of add-ons that are available, it’s a resounding yes.

A2A Simulations have long been one of the top names in the flight simulation community, and their high-end quality of releases continues here in the ACCU-SIM powered PA-28 Cherokee. Designed to give you a genuine thrill when you step into the cockpit, as well as adding many new challenges that most flight simulation fans won’t have come up against before, you’ll find that the overall experience becomes far more refreshing.

So, if you have been playing FSX for too long and decide that you need a little bit of a change you might want to try this out. Taking on the quality of the Cherokee and re-designing it in every way possible, and then augmenting the experience with ACCU-SIM, you’ll be able to hop into this aircraft and get the same challenges, rewards, and sensations as you would if you were to try and fly the real thing. This is an engrossing modification that adds countless hours.

The PA-28 Cherokee

Affectionately known as the Goldilocks, the PA-28 Cherokee is a well-known aircraft that has been around for quite some time. This is an aircraft with a real character about it and can make a nice change-up from some of the more generic models that FSX ships with. Its nickname comes from the fact that it follows all of her traits – it’s not too small, and it’s not too hard to use…it’s just right! This is exactly what you want to see from an aircraft of this size, and the recreated style is one of the most enjoyable features of the entire package. If you’ve wanted to rip into the skies for quite some time now and enjoy something that’s truly in-line with reality then this package can help you get there.

It takes authenticity very seriously – having built itself around the key features of the standard PA-28 Cherokee, it follows each and every aspect of the real performance. Everything from the speed of the aircraft to its weight and measurements has been adjusted to perfection – this is a “by the book” creation that matches everything that you would hope to have. If you’ve ever flown a PA-28 in real life and want to get something that feels like just like the real thing, you’ll struggle to find a better recreation than this.

The entire Cherokee line of aircraft has been built on a rather simple basis – with a 150hp engine and just two seats for the 140 range, it’s not exactly the most modern of aircraft. However, it’s rather templated design comes in very well for those who want to get to grips with the aircraft quickly, whilst for those who want to try and take on something a bit more powerful they can try the 235 range which brings together a 250hp engine, giving you a lot more strength and capability for carrying heavier loads.

However, it’s this simplicity that has helped to propel this famous old aircraft into the limelight. Its quality style in design as well as sophistication within the cockpit makes it a popular aircraft for a variety of different jobs and typically outperforms more modern aircraft at some of their typical tasks. Versatile to use and extremely user-friendly, they have been around since the early 60s and since then have created an incredible part of aviation history.

This package faithfully remakes all of the key features that you would want to see in any kind of self-respecting aircraft. It takes in all of the most important details and makes them shine brightly, whilst also making sure that each aircraft looks and feels the part with each and every small addition that can possibly be represented included. It’s these small adjustments that can help make an aircraft simulation feel the best it can, and this really brings to life the uniquely satisfying prospect that is flying the PA-28 range. When you get to fly this aircraft with ACCU-SIM equipped, you’ll really notice the difference in the quality!

Attention to Detail

  • One of the most important things for any aircraft simulation, though, is that it makes sure that the product looks and operates as it should. With this package, you get staggering attention to visual detail. A2A Simulations are well known for taking the graphical side of things seriously, but each model that you get has been faithfully recreated in the very style that it should have been

  • Whilst all of the features, qualities, and strengths of the aircraft have been made to stand out so that you get the most unique flying experience possible, the graphical side of things has not been left behind at all. You’ll get an aircraft that looks just like the real thing, with a fine selection of paint jobs to pick from as well. If it’s attention to detail that you want, then each livery included is incredibly impressive – with a real focus on authenticity with every design

  • The features that you need to make the aircraft work expertly are all included – as are many other additions that really help you get to grips with the system. From the small spoilers that make the cockpit feel extra unique to the actual options that you get for improving your flight experience; you’ll get a massively authentic remake of this hugely popular aircraft line

  • Everything that you could possibly need to fly at your very best, and improve as a pilot dramatically over time, has been included – so if you want to start improving, start with this

ACCU-SIM

ACCU-SIM is one of the most dynamic releases that has ever been brought out for a flight simulator. It helps to build a far more realistic and enjoyable flight experience, and this package comes empowered with ACCU-SIM to give you the best time that you can possibly get for any flight simulator. Everything that you require to make your flight easy and enjoyable has been included.

This means that no matter what you want to see included in a flight simulator for an aircraft, you’ll probably find it here. it ups the chances of real-life occurring if you want to look at it in the most basic fashion. All of those little checks and changes that a pilot has to go through are included so that you are getting something far more challenging than the normal aircraft in the game.

In fact, everything that you do is going to impact you in some capacity later down the line – this is a system that operates almost exclusively on realism. Trying to take off in your Cherokee on a snowy runway? Then expect to come up against the same challenges that you would in the real world. Nothing is left to chance here, and you’ll find that the experience becomes so much richer for it.

Make sure that you never find flight simulation easy again with the brutal change in difficulty – and reward – that you get from using a modification like this; you’ll never be able to take your off eye the ball again and fly off the cuff, that’s for sure!

Key Features

  • A high-end propeller situation that will feel far more realistic than anything that you might be used to in FSX

  • Pre-flight inspection systems brought to life using ACCU-SIM that give you a much greater understanding of how the takeoff process is actually managed

  • A truly authentic recreation of the aircraft, regardless of what model you are using, that takes full advantage of the graphical power of FSX and P3D

  • Truly reworked sound environments that you can really feel the effects of the physics of the aircraft operating around you, enhancing the experience tenfold

  • Real-Time load manager to make it easier to include fuel and extra loads along the way, rather than having to exit the game and edit

  • Hanger maintenance systems as well as engine tests and compression checks to make sure that your aircraft is going to be safe to actually fly!

  • Piston combustion engine modeling that works just as it would in the real world – with the harmonious glory of a Lycoming 360 engine included for authenticity

  • Avionics that work with the typical LEDs; these including in-game configurations that allow you to use various GPS systems with third-party support for GNS 430/530

  • 3D Lighting that makes the overall vision and capacity to fly your aircraft with accuracy easier than ever before – you’ll no longer have to squint to see what is ahead of you thanks to the rather poor quality of lighting that was FSX provides

  • Completely reworked ground physics that make the whole aircraft operate differently depending on what kind of material you are actually trying to take off from – now, the whole world won’t feel the same. You’ll find different challenges in landing and take-off depending on what part of the world you are flying from

  • Animated passengers that can sit in the back seats, adding another fine layer of realism to the whole experience – now you aren’t flying all alone!

  • STEC-30 Autopilot that runs in the exact manner that it would in the real world, giving you a fantastic education whilst you watch & see

  • An electric starter – just as it would have had back in the day – that cranks up the power as you pull it with sublime accuracy

  • Primer-only starts that make the aircraft work exactly as it would have in real-life – authenticity is key here, and ACCU-SIM helps to bring out the very best in the software’s potential

  • A real fuel system that works exactly as it should – now, you’ll actually see the results of the primer and mixture combining together to give your aircraft the kind of velocity that it needs for a successful take-off

  • Additionally, the oil pressure system works in a similar manner – it’s affected by the overall thickness of the oil. This, in turn, is affected by the temperature of the oil. This means you need to follow legislation and give your aircraft the time it needs to warm up properly and get going for the day, otherwise, you might run into some rather unfortunate incidents later on down the line!

  • Highly realistic flight dynamics that make sure you get an aircraft that performs as it should – all of the right features have been included to make sure that the aircraft can fly effectively. Nothing is more important than having accuracy in the flight, so this package can be the perfect antidote to keeping your aircraft flying safe and steady

  • A variety of liveries that give you real-life commercial sponsors who have supported this project in the past; such as Phillips 66 Aviation, Knots2u and Champion Aerospace

  • A fine selection of neat little additions and spoilers throughout the cockpit that will make sure that your aircraft looks and feels the part. These little additions will not only make the whole experience far more immersive, but it will give your navigation skills a timely lift without all of the usual modern implementations!

  • Looking to get the full hit of authenticity? Then the aircraft becomes entirely persistent even when you aren’t using your PC. This means that if you damaged your aircraft in a specific way you will need to make sure that it is repaired before you can carry on with safety

  • All materials used to make the design of the aircraft have been faithfully followed according to guides and real-life experience in using the aircraft. If you need your aircraft to look the best that it can, and want it to really represent the real-life thing, then you absolutely must have this package installed; nothing is used as a placeholder here!

Thanks for the memories.

When I first started flying in 1965-66 my first lessons on my way to earning my private pilots license was in a C Model Cherokee 180 and I fell in love with it over the four months it took for me to earn and pass my Private Pilots License. Even though before the completion of receiving my license I did progress to the, then new "D" model but my memories will always remain in the cockpit of the "C" model. Some time later I found myself in the right seat of a Boeing 727 as my career progressed into the now history of my Aviation Career. My memories thanks to you folks will always be in the Cherokee 180 "C" model....

Thank You, Capt. Willam Sanders, Retired

The Cherokee 180 from A2A, and probably the best add-on at the moment. It allows in particular to address all the essential phases of flying in a private flying club. The original equipment provided is suitable for basic training. Associated with a GTN750 is that happiness, because the P3DV4 version, is now operational. The plane responds perfectly to the solicitations and in my opinion, the most realistic behavior. It is an easy plane to apprehend if you take the trouble to read the recommendations provided in the manual. I recommend it to all beginners as aficionados of the broomstick. cordially

Excellent aircraft!! Amazingly detailed, you can tell that they have poured countless hours of devotion and dedication into creating the most realistic handling, looking and maintenance around. I absolutely love the persistence of the aircraft, that between flights, even outside of FSX, it will degrade and I'll have to maintain the oil, spark plugs, etc. This is probably as close as you're going to get to real GA flight, at-least from the perspective of all the ground-work, internal systems of the aircraft etc.

I couldn't recommend this more!

What to say because the software is a new standard in FSX area. Although the model does not come close to the Q400 from Majestic, but the Cherokee every cent's worth. Obwoll pricing at SimShack is human yet, with other providers you pay for at least 5 - 10 $ more.

I'd like there to be a little less back ground music, but I'm certainly looking at getting this Piper, just hope the music doesn't follow me.
