Key Features

  • In this release, you gain access to the Tornado in a way that it never has been done before with a full FSX model being included. This means the model comes equipped with all of the FSX additions such as bump mapping, self-shadowing, bloom texturing and various extras.

  • Likewise, the FSX model comes with the brilliant self-shadowing needed in the virtual cockpit to bring it to life and make it feel even more comfortable to sit in. please be aware that this. requires FSX SP2/Acceleration add-on, as well as the DX10 Preview mode edition to be in use.

  • The virtual cockpit is not all just looks and thrills, though; it comes with awesome designs throughout that make it easier to use .the extra animations and mousable controls are one of the most important things that you can include within this kind of package, making flight nice and easy.

  • A fresh new HUD was designed from scratch to make sure you have total and utter control over the aircraft, and so that you can get to grips with how it works and the general array of features that it will bring to the table, giving you control & precision.

  • Texturing has been worked on for hours on end to make sure the entire package can be easy on the eyes as well as realistic and true to the reality of the aircraft - highly detailed weather has been included to make the aircraft look like it has seen some battles!

  • Comes equipped with all of the firepower that you would expect of an aircraft such as the Tornado; created to give you firepower beyond your wildest dreams. To change the loadout you simply need to make an easy adjustment or two within the cfg file that controls the weapons loadout.

  • Additionally, this comes with an all-XML 2D panel system that has high-resolution glazed effect gauges, customized pop-ups for the ECU, autopilot features and radios, and even a fully mousable selection of buttons to hit. This makes flying the aircraft a piece of cake, and far more enjoyable than without the panels.

  • Animated features such as canopies, pilots, reverser buckets, speedbrakes, wing sweep and even a refueling probe for that extra little bit of attention, realism and class.

  • The virtual cockpit is propped up by the excellent night lighting that ensures you never need to lose visibility when flying at night.

  • The tail hook toggles remove-before-flight tags, as well as well chocks and intake/exhaust blanks. These might not seem like much but they are very important parts of the process moving forward, giving you absolute control over the aircraft at all times.

  • Got a design side to yourself? Then you should try and edit the crew shoulder squadron patches as these can be adjusted and made to fit with whatever design you feel seems to suit the look and the feel of what you are working with. Alongside this is the brilliant auto animation and flight suits included with each pilot model.

  • FSX model comes with a rear cockpit and a working radar system, something which could not be implemented into the FS2004 edition of this package.

  • Working radar can be used in the 3D panel as a pop-up, as well, so that you can organize and use everything from one place.

  • The loaded model that comes with this has 18 payload entries included in the CFG so that customized weights can be programmed and included; the default has no payloads to begin with.

  • Checklist and performance ensures the aircraft runs concurrently to the performance of the real thing.

  • Customized effects for the turbine glow to add another layer of reality, as well as smoke effects, wingtip and flap contrails and much more!

  • Soundest created from scratch to grab the sound and the noise of the aircraft in all of its glory along the way.

  • Togglable rain effects in the virtual cockpit if you are using FS9, adding yet another layer of authenticity to the system and bringing it all together.

  • A 28-page user manual has been added for anything that you are struggling to get to grips with or use in the most effective manner - it takes time, but it's worth it!

The Intruder is easily one of the most enjoyable and accessible aircraft out there, making it easy for even the most challenged of pilots to have some fun when they hop into the cockpit of this machine. It's made for flying around at quickly and effectively and gives you that real aviation boost that makes life so much simpler for everyone; when you fly something like this then your life really does become ten times easer to control and to enjoy as you will get a true appreciation of the kind of depth and detail that has long since existed.

The A-6 is an aircraft that will give pilots like myself a glimpse behind the curtain in terms of what we are capable of today within military aviation, even if the aircraft is more than three decades old. It till holds up today and gives you all the ideas that you need to see why military aviation has become such a massive industry - even though it was retired in 1997 for me it was still an aircraft we should have had in the skies today, and being able to actually try one out myself in a simulator was a massive amount of fun and something I would love to do again in the future.

If you are interested in seeing what we are capable of as a species when it comes to our development of aviation techniques and skills, you'll absolutely love flying around in this machine - its great fun!

Got this on the cheap about a year back, didn't do much with it. Have flown it some more lately, and I must say it is a very nice lower end model. At higher texture settings it looks pretty good, lacking the detail of high-end models, but quite convincingly doing the job with less detail. It looks very good!

It handles allright I guess, not plastic in any way - no idea how realistic it would be. Not a lot of functional systems, but enough to have some fun with, and the VC is allright - not the sharpest, but overall not bad. At about 10 bucks or less and with the ability to have the model look as good as it can I would advise anyone looking to add a military jet to just go ahead.
