Created by Turbine Sound Studios to ensure that you can now fly within FSX as realistically as possible within the Boeing 757 aircraft, this sound collection creates a cacophony of new sounds and audio footage to ensure that your aircraft now begins to start sounding the way that it was supposed to when first released with FSX.
The generic, dull noises of the past are gone, replaced by authentic sounds taken from the aircraft itself and making sure that all pilots who wish to learn can use this as a learning tool to remove their insecurities and uncertainties about certain flight maneuvers.
Based on the RR RB211 engine, this makes it a lot easier for you to buy into the Rolls-Royce format of the engine used in this, making sure you have no problems in acclimatizing to this rather polarizing engine style.
If you are have flown other Boeing types that don’t use RR engines then the sounds can be quite off-putting at first, but in no time at all you will get used to the booming sound created from this engine, as it provides up to 166-270kW thrust which is a genuinely powerful piece of kit for this era.
The aircraft itself, the 757, was a rather middling aircraft in terms of size so the fact it’s equipped with these monstrous engines bodes well for those pilots who seek a bit more magic in their flights, as you will find it waiting for you here just ready to get going.
The entire package, really, is delivered to ensure you can buy into the process and to really start enjoying the way that flight takes place when you are in the cockpit of something so incredible powerful. Whilst the old RR company eventually went bust due to spiraling costs, the engines lived on through nationalization and this eventually lead to the first true tree-spool engine being created.
This was unprecedented in aviation until this point and since then it turned the RR name into a genuine world competitor, and today it’s still used by a huge range of aircraft companies for their incredible attention to detail, depth and precision.
The whole idea of using this package is to make sure that these unique and important sounds can be heard by you; when flying, it always helps to know what your aircraft is “saying” to you as you fly, and this makes your life so much easier in general and ensures you will be able to stay on the right track a time goes by.
Indeed, the main plan behind flying in simulation is to get the most authentic response possible and with this package you will have no problems at all in doing so! It just takes a bit of extra work, commitment and precision and with this package you will be able to hear your aircraft react and change in the way that you had always intended, improving the way that you feel moving forward as a pilot.
