Orlando International Airport is the second-busiest airport in the state of Florida and the 13th-busiest airport in the United States.
In 2005 it was visited by 34.1 million passengers, making it the 12th busiest airport in the United States and the 21st-busiest in the World. The Orlando International Airport has a hub-and-spoke layout with a large main terminal building and four airside concourses accessible via elevated people movers, with a total of 129 gates.
Floridians joke that the airport code MCO stands for “Mickey’s Corporate Office”, as the Orlando area is the location of Disney and Walt Disney World.
