Adding yet more to the wide range of add-ons available for X-Plane, Carenado have produced another stunning package, this time of the Cessna 152. If you've been looking for a new general aviation aircraft to spend some quality time in, or just looking to get in some practice, you would have a hard time finding anything better; Carenado have done some really great things with this add-on. Made to be compatible with both 32 and 64 bit versions to ensure everyone can get the most out of it.
One of the best features in this package is the truly sensational exterior lighting effects. At night, the various lights including navigation lights, beacons and evening the landing lights, illuminate the body of the aircraft in such a way that chances are, you will only ever want to fly at night. Highlighting the well crafted and polygon optimized model, the lights are incredibly realistic and a massive boost to your visual experience. During the day, natural shines and reflections roll over the aircraft as you bank through clouds and interact with the simulated environment around you. The model is detailed to the point where you can clearly see panels and rivets, and no imperfections.
This aesthetic appeal of this American made two seater, with its fixed tricycle landing gear is played to very well with Carenado's unique liveries. Each of the four available liveries demonstrate striking colors and lines that accent the shape of the C152. As the nose of the aircraft can be glimpsed from inside the 3D modeled cockpit area, those liveries that add a splash of color to the nose allow you to stay connected to the external aspects of the aircraft, even while utilizing the cockpit views. The cockpit itself, has some very nice features. From panel lights that can be adjusted manually from dim to bright, and a host of moving parts that flesh out the interactivity of the cockpit experience. While stylish reflections can be found on the windows and gauges, adding realism and depth to the interior environment.
The fantastic visuals of Carenado's C152 are balanced by a realistic feel that has been achieved through careful tuning of the flight dynamics. For an aircraft that feels truly authentic with regards to both visuals, performance and handling, you need look no further.
Released by flight sim developer Carenado is another one of their aircraft for X-Plane, the Cessna 152 II. This is just another aircraft you can add to your X-Plane hangar! The X-Plane models are just as detailed and feature packed as their FSX or FS2004 counterparts. The exterior textures on this file are equally as good as the ones found on the Saratoga released last month, but what might not be too apparent is the exterior lighting. No awkwardly smeary port and starboard lights, no weird looking landing light, and a rotating beacon that does just that… and all these little things begin to add up to some really sweet music. - Xplane10
Carenado is a household name in the flight sim industry. If you're bought flight sim payware add-ons before, you've likely heard of Carenado. Founded in 2001 by Fernando Herrera, Carenado has covered aircraft add-ons for FS98 right up to the brand new MSFS release of 2020. Carenado is based in Santiago, Chile, and has a team of developers, designers, and 3D modelers.
Known for the prop and turboprop models that they are famous for and have focused on, they also have small business jets in their add-on portfolio too. They have even developed a model for the Dassault Falcon 50EX - likely their largest.
They have received numerous awards and accolations in the flight sim community over the years. Their support team are always on-hand and responses are always answered in timely manner.

Great to use the same model plane for X Plane 11 that I am using this as part of training and can't fault it. Would recommend. One "problem" is the Altimeter is in the US format and would be great to see it in HPa not inhg.
