When it comes to using a flight simulator, we all know how important it is to get that real touch of realism. Well, the flight Simulation Platform Solutions (FSPS) team has been one of the most prominent on the market for some time. Their rare breed of high-end software that runs concurrently with flight simulators to better performance is legendary amongst flight simulation users.

This latest mod totally adjusts everything about the physics side of the simulator and makes it far more like the real world that we all live in. after many months of development, this brings you a way that will totally revamp FSX for you.

If you have grown tired of FSX and want to try something a bit more ambitious in terms of the depth it goes to this is what you need. As the perfect addition for any FSX veteran out there who needs a new challenge, this can give you many more hours of entertainment and a heighted sense of realism in just about every sense that it possibly could.

By bringing a whole range of functions – of which you have utmost control – you can get the right kind of system going that allows you to grow as a pilot. It helps you to get access to some sorely missed features, too, whilst also making sure that you never need to struggle to find a proper challenge again. This really tests your mettle and brings in some of the most important features that anyone could look for, including;

Key Features

  • When you are flying your aircraft you will now be able to notice things like ice accumulation starting up – this makes a massive difference to the overall power and realism of the flight. By using a unique method of understanding the current status of our flight, you can ensure that ice is going to be a key feature of your flying for some time – you’ll no longer just have a notification, you’ll have to take on the ice itself and make sure it’s dealt with before it becomes a problem

  • This new feature alone makes a massive change to the original dynamics of FSX, as it ensures that the flight will be altered via drag, additional weight and even limiting or hampering your ability to input commands to combat the problems that ice brings

  • A new brakes system has been developed from scratch, too, so that you can get a true feel for how brakes on an aircraft are managed.  The more you use the brakes, the hotter they will become; this takes into account many smaller features too including disc surface and speed as well as the overall mass of the aircraft

  • This duly affects the performance in many ways, and ensures that the aircraft is capable of either diminishing returns from their brakes or a consistent performance if they are managed correctly during the flight. The library of new sounds that have been created also have a nice impact on making the whole thing sound as realistic as possible

  • Runways are now managed in a whole new manner – runway contamination and friction are now managed in direct relation to the precipitation rate. This means that the actual weather will play a key role in just how effective your ascent will be

  • New corrections in terms of aircraft performance during takeoff have been completely changed to ensure that it now feels far more realistic due to all of the changes that are brought into play. From friction and the condition of the runway, you can now see a much bigger difference between the current FSX specifications and what is being introduced here

  • Anti-skid features have been included to ensure you don’t need to get some high-cost expansion to cover the fact that this key feature is a glaring miss in vanilla FSX

  • Likewise, the new changes of the Runway Bumping Effect make a massive difference to the way that aircraft are managed across the place. You will now find that the new effects brought in create another layer of simulation that ensures both visual and sound effects match up and look the part. When you pass over those centerline lights on the runway, you will be able to notice a stark change from the original to this new feature that has been included. Now takeoff has to be far more precise and needs to ensure that you are catching the aircraft perfectly – getting everything just right will ensure you make a textbook takeoff

  • The new 3D cockpit effects that have been introduced by the FSPS in the past make a welcome return here, and give you all the help that you could possibly need in getting that aircraft off the ground and into the realms of reality. The cockpit feels far more dynamic now and looks al ot better, too. It adds another layer of character to the whole place and ensures that you can enjoy a variety of extra features when flying an aircraft

  • For example, head movement for things like gear expansions and spoiler flaps have been included. This will give you a much better education as the head movement is entirely dependent on speed and will never be a predictable style. This now manages this feature perfectly and ensures that everything comes together much better. You’ll now notice head movement on every pass that you make on the centerline runway light

  • However, please note that head movement software running independently with this modification will cause significant conflict along the way and should probably be avoided at the moment. It’s something that will be added in the future though, so you should keep an eye out for any news about this

  • The sound effects that have been added in to the simulator make an incredible difference, too. It brings everything together like a fine orchestra, and makes the entire experience come together that little bit more. The new sound effects cover everything from the wheels locking up on the runway to the brakes coming into action.it also covers things like flaps and spoilers coming into action and many other minor sounds

  • This all comes together to make something that sound like the true flight experience and will make it a whole lot easier to take off in the future. It makes sure that you get a specific sound as well for when you hit certain landmarks such as aircraft speed or the brakes hit a specific temperature. True to real life, this keeps you on your toes and makes sure you don’t push the aircraft too far

  • A whole host of real-time charts have been created that let you see the performance and condition of your aircraft in real-time so that you can make those micro adjustments quickly and easily, getting yourself back on track quickly and easily. These charts help you learn the aircraft as much as anything else, and will give you a much better idea of what you need to look after during the flight

  • Airport information screens that represent all of the key airport and runway data that you need, helping you keep things in check and manage the destination as much as the actual aircraft itself. This means that you can view key data about things like the weather, too, and this can be a huge benefit when you are trying to make it across the world without making a mistake. Additionally, other information that has been included interacts with this mod explicitly and gives you even more detailed feedback on some advanced issues

  • The menu has been designed to make this feel like you are using a web browser; you’ll no longer find yourself getting caught up in some archaic design; this really hits the spot, and gives you all the help you need

  • A multi-unit display that allows you to get as many different metrics as you need – read everything in the measurements that you feel most comfortable with and not something that can make your flight more difficult to manage effectively

  • Everything in this mod can be adjusted and even turned off. So, if you want to have more or less on you can really push the bar as far as you would like and make a nice big difference to realism, quality and performance all in one go

  • Auto updaters are provided, too, so that you can be kept in touch with all of the latest additions and changes that come along with this brilliant modification. This will help you get the latest updates and make sure you are flying with the latest release possible

  • A new license transfer system has been brought in – FSPS tend to protect from piracy with their products, but now you can transfer license from machine-to-machine with the absolute minimum of fuss

  • Stuck with anything when trying to master this brilliant piece of kit? Then you need only refer to the brilliant 70+ page manual that has been created so you can get total control

Flight Simulator Platform Solutions are a great team that spend a lot of time developing outstanding products to accompany our favorite simulators like Microsoft's Flight Simulator X and others. This version of Sim Physics X is specifically for FSX and it will radically change the way you fly and improve your experience significantly. This application is absolutely packed with features and functions that you won't have seen implemented anywhere else.

What Sim Physics X does, in a nutshell, is make lots of small changes, with lots of big results. Through introducing clever systems that the vanilla FSX lacks, you can enjoy even more realistic flights and more authentic flight conditions. For a simple example of this, think about the standard pop up message you get that lets you know that ice has been detected. Not all that true to life is it? But Sim Physics X, uses complex theoretic models to work out where it can add or remove ice on your aircraft, relative to the current weather conditions. This results in you having to actually respond to the presence of ice, taking into account how it can affect drag and add weight to your aircraft.

This application improves on so many areas that it will take you some time before you've witnessed them all first hand. Certain things you may well notice straight out of the hangar, such as runway contamination and friction that is now correctly affected by precipitation rates, rather than any level of rain or snow having the same results. Or the new brake system that uses the specifications of your aircraft to calculate how hot the brakes get as you use them. Giving you the opportunity to think more like a real pilot, trying intelligent but simple solutions like leaving your landing gear down for a while to cool off the wheels.

On top of everything else that this download offers, you're also treated with two more applications from FSPS's catalog. Runway Bumping Effect and 3D Cockpit Effects are great downloads by themselves, offering true to life interactions with runway surfaces and accurate head-movement. But when you put all three together, you set yourself up for the most realistic flights you've ever had inside of a simulator.
