As a city of many thrills and even more spills, Las Vegas has established itself as a go-to location on this planet that more people than ever before are beginning to get involved with.
This package, part of the excellent US Cities X selection, ensures that you will have no problem whatsoever in creating an easy and effective route to enjoying this city more and more in the long-term. It’s one of the strangest cities around in terms of layout and design, not to mention its location, but this package does everything it can to sell the wonderful story of Las Vegas in the best way that it can.
The city itself is one of the most peculiar due to the fact that it’s more or less located in the middle of a desert! The range of small houses with high rise buildings thrown in between looks mental and uncluttered from above, but this is exactly what Vegas is; it’s crazy, it’s manic and it’s almost certainly a city that you need to visit. With this package, now you can have no problem in coming here and getting to enjoy yourself as much as you can with stunning new features being included throughout.
Obviously, this package includes the amazing Vegas Strip which is so incredibly important and popular to the city; it’s where all the cash comes in from, and it’s where the “fun” is stored – the hotels, casinos and entertainment venues are all here for you to specifically enjoy.
This makes the city of Las Vegas come to life, with the really unique nature of the location fully caught and included in here. It make use of the scenery quality that you would expect, but also does a wonderful job of capturing the little parts of Vegas many might not consider to be so important.
With an aerial image coverage that provides excellent detail per pixel, this ensures that you are left with thorough scope and depth that is more than the smudged “photorealistic” scenery that you see elsewhere – this really does capture the essence of Vegas with crisp, sharp textures that look wonderful.
A whole new range of features attributed to making sure that this can come together in the best way possible, with close to 4,000 new scenery additions and major buildings included in there to ensure that this lovely part of Nevada can feel as realistic as it really should.
Full night-time textures are included – Vegas looks better than ever when you fly over here at night so it can make a he difference to come here and see its wonderful beauty light up and be caught in a whole new way when you are flying above in this manner.
High resolution mesh textures are now being used across the city, ensuring that the main area as well as local celebrity locations such as “Area 51” and the Grand Canyon have been improved, changed and updated to look the best that they can regardless of what you intend to use.
Billboards and other attractions and advertising across this wonderful city are changed and edited to make sure that they fit along with the theme and style of “The Strip”. This looks truly awesome and does a great job of promoting and selling the image and the view of this wonderful city unlike it’s ever been seen before.
These airports are dealt with as well, ensuring that you can fly across Las Vegas and enjoy the depth and beauty of more airports than ever before. The airports added in here will include;
- McCarran International
- North Las Vegas (including new east apron)
- Henderson Executive
- Boulder City Municipal (including new apron layout)
- Nellis AFB
- Indian Springs AF Aux
- Desert Rock
- Yucca Runway (rather new secret runway not reported in official notams)
- Yucca Airstrip near the runway on a salt lake
- Echo Bay
A massive range of new terrain has been included across the length and breadth of the city, ensuring that it has the depth and precision in detail that you need. Away from the buildings and from the floor, this new terrain also affects the wonderful Yucca Valley as well as key surrounding lakes and areas – this is built around using specific Landsat imagery so does an absolutely wonderful job of selling the aircraft and making it look as authentic as it possibly can, bringing the whole thing together and looking absolutely spectacular.
The Las Vegas Speedway Heliport has been included for good effect, too. This looks magical and does just a spectacular job of making the city of Las Vegas burst into life and look the very best that it can. It even comes with specific new changes to the layout, making it look more authentic than it ever has in the past.
Sound effects are include such as the noise blaring from Downtown as you fly over right down to the Highway traffic shooting down below you. This ambient noise is more than just a cosmetic – it actually helps to accurately portray this city and the incredible noise that it can generate when you are here.
These new sounds are matched by the effects that are carried out across the board. Sound effects work perfectly in tandem with the traffic which now inhabits the vast majority of the roads within the city. This traffic on most major roads looks excellent, and does a great job of helping you propel yourself forward to truly enjoy the scenery. The addition of these nice little extras does a great part of the whole selling aspect of the city itself, bringing it all together perfectly.
In short, this is a mod that is great value for your money and will be sure to be a much loved and valued addition to your flight simulation experience. Everything is accurately portrayed to ensure fans of this wonderful city can enjoy themselves as soon as they arrive here to have some fun!
Worried about lack of performance? Then use the rather wonderful Scenery Density tool to avoid this once and for all. By doing this, you make sure that you can have no problem in making sure the quality of the scenery is suitable to your capable performance.

Easy straightforward installation. Great scenery of downtown Las Vegas but curious about the vertical shaft of white light emanating from the Luxor hotel pyramid.
