And what’s more, each of the islands has their own unique detailed layout and textures that really brings them to life.
Each of the airfields themselves has been recreated to the highest detail using over 5000 on-site photographs – these include, Borkum (EDWR), Juist (EDWJ), Norderney (EDWY), Baltrum (EDWZ), Langeoog (EDWL), and Wangerooge (EDWG).
There are also two helipads available, the German army land site Bundeswehr, Borkum, and a landing site in Spiekeroog.
There has also been particular attention paid to the placing and accuracy of landmarks on the island, including lighthouses, beacons, and harbor buildings. Even the vegetation has been manually tuned to create a further realistic feel, as does the color corrected Orthophoto of each of the airfields.
