Get behind the controls of a jet airliner that's so modern, it's not even been introduced yet. The A320neo represents the final step in the modernization of the Airbus family, with its 'New Engine Option' it has increased range and payload capacity over its predecessors, lower operating costs and reductions in engine noise and emissions. AFS-Design has taken the initiative and already made it available to users of Microsoft FSX and FS2004, so simmers don't need to wait years to actually fly one.
This incredible package contains three different models, accurately portraying the A319neo, A321neo and A320neo, which includes an interior cabin model. Considering the real aircraft are still in development, AFS-Design have done a great job creating exciting and, what we can assume are, true to life models with lots of detail and and accurate features. Numerous animations can be found on each of the external models, everything from cabin doors and hatches, to spoilers and landing gear. In particular, the animation for the engine thrust reverser is quite special. More than a dozen liveries are available to choose from, ranging from the largest airline in Europe, Lufthansa, to the United Kingdoms British Airways. These textures pack in a lot of detail at 1024x1024 resolution, and incorporate specular shine and alpha technology. This allows for brilliant shines and reflections that boost your visual experience. Exterior lighting helps show off the alpha technology used in the textures, and highlights some of the more interesting design elements of the A320neo. Such as the Sharklet wingtip devices, which decrease drag and lower fuel consumption.
All models have a fully functional virtual cockpit with many fantastic elements, including an upper panel that contains roughly one hundred real deposited switches. And a well laid out center console and the numerous LCD screens of the EICAS, Multifunction and Primary Flight Displays are reflected in the large cockpit windows. This aircraft is both fun and challenging, but one well worth mastering. If you're looking to purchase a jet airliner for your virtual hangar, why not make it the groundbreaking and efficient Airbus A320neo and get yours years before anybody else.

The Airbus A320 single-aisle jetliner family (composed of the A318, A319, A320 and A321) is the undisputed best-selling aircraft product line of all time. It is used in a full range of services from very short-haul airline routes to intercontinental segments, on operations from challenging in-city airports to high-altitude airfields and an Antarctic ice runway, and on VVIP and government missions with the most discerning passengers. To ensure this true market leader keeps its competitive edge, Airbus continues to invest in improvements across the product line, including development of the A320neo new engine option, enhancements to the jetliner’s aerodynamics, upgrades to the widest passenger cabin in its class, and extended service intervals for the airframe.
Since Airbus’ launch of the A320neo in December 2010, more than 1,000 orders and commitments had been logged for this enhanced family as of June 2011 – setting a sales record of its own with bookings from airlines and leasing companies alike. This represents an important percentage of the 7,000-plus firm orders booked for all A320 aircraft types. The A320neo provides minimum change with maximum benefit for the best-selling A319, A320 and A321 through the incorporation of two new engine choices – the PW1100G PurePower from Pratt & Whitney and CFM International’s LEAP-X – along with Airbus’ Sharklets large wing tip devices. These improvements will deliver fuel savings of 15 per cent and an additional flight distance of 500 nautical miles (950 kilometres), or the ability to carry two tonnes more payload at a given range. For the environment, the A320neo’s fuel savings translate into some 3,600 tonnes less CO2 per aircraft per year. Additionally, the A320neo will provide a double-digit reduction in NOx emissions and reduced engine noise. This new A320 version will have over 95 per cent airframe commonality with the existing models, enabling it to fit seamlessly into existing A320 Family fleets – a key factor for Airbus customers and operators, which have received more than 4,700 aircraft delivered as of mid 2011.

Looks very good, but the installer is not FS2004 compatible although the product is advertised as FSX and FS2004. I copied the planes from the simobjects/airplanes into the fs9/aircraft directory and they work. Well mostly - there are no instruments on the captain's side although all are displayed on the right. There is also no manual. I have written a mail to the developer, so let's see what comes of that. So far no answer.
A good approach, the cockpit is acceptable, so is the exterior and dynamics, you should get some new sounds in, and for an experienced pilot, this is not good and you should get Aerosoft.

Great aircraft, BUT , this needs the upgrade for Directx10.
