The Lockheed C-130 Hercules is one of the most hard-working aircraft to grace the sky. Combat, maritime rescue, aerial refueling: this four-engine craft has seen it all. The U.S. military has produced the C-130 for over 50 continuous years, but 60 other nations have joined in the use of the C-130. Now the C-130 flies the digital skies of MS Flight Simulator X in all its detailed glory.

Complete with accurate day textures and night textures, the C-130 looks and sounds realistic with in-flight recordings from a real C-130. The cockpit is accurate in both 2D and 3D, and has been tested by real Hercules crewmen. Fly as the gunship, the refueling tanker, or the firefighting C-130. Practice in-flight refueling, one of the most difficult air-to-air transactions.

Enjoy custom animations like animated crew windows, cargo doors, operating APU doors, para jump wind deflectors as well as other normal flight control surfaces. Complete with easy-install instructions and a detailed 240-page pilot’s notes manual, this expansion will engage and challenge even the most experienced pilot.

Designed by a team of crewmen and real engineers, the C-130 is as close as it comes to climbing into the cockpit of the real thing. After 6,000 hours of redesign and reconstruction, the C-130 is ready for takeoff. Takeoff, landing, and in-flight specialty tasks are calibrated to the maximum precision, and the C-130 crewmen agree that this is, indeed, as real as it gets.

C-130 Hercules is the result of over 6,000 hours of meticulous development and is undoubtedly the most sophisticated re-creation of a military aircraft to grace the simulated skies. Staggering graphics and a superb array of detailed animations are mated to an accurate flight model that has been tested by Hercules crews. It has now been in for a major refit at the Captain Sim development studio and returns fully reworked for Flight Simulator X with Acceleration, SP2, DX10 Preview and Vista compatibility.

This package includes E, H J and Gunship variants in 28 authentic liveries. C-130 Hercules also includes a huge printed manual and is fully licensed by Lockheed Martin and the Royal Air Force.
