Residents and fans of the Nadi International Airport, rejoice!
As one of the most respected airports in the region, this unique recreation of the Nadi International Airport provides residents and fans of the airport alike with a truly special recreation, fit for usage in even the most professional of simulated flights.
Thanks to the hard work and preparation by NXGN Simulations, this transfers the old design into something far more modern and refreshing. In this latest remake of the aircraft, though, you will be treated to various improvements and changes to the region such as;
A massive range of changes were introduced to the buildings, ensuring that old problems with bugs which crashed the simulator have been resolved. Now, old buildings no longer cause conflicts or disruptions to your flight.
A much improved ACFAD and Exclusion BGLs system, making it much easier than ever before to avoid bugs which removed scenery from the nearby airfield.
Added a new IK-Based Jetways, which can now be docked to the user’s aircraft and AI aircraft it you prefer.
Full compliance with FSDT’s GSX has been added, with a fully working configuration included.
Full compatibility with P3D v3 as well as FSX: Steam Edition.
Fantastic new details have been included to showcase the main terminal plus the various other features such as jetways and minor cosmetic requirements. This does a great job of selling the whole look and feel of the airport, bringing it together in the most monumental manner that it can.
Fresh and accurate new details have been included within the maintenance hanger of Fiji Airways – previously this was Air Pacific – along with all administrative buildings being taken care of. This extends to all general aviation hangers, helping the entire image and style of the airport to come together in style.
New improved FSX Native Textures with bump mapping and specular maps being used on nearly every element of the aircraft. This shows you just how much detail has been included in every factor of the aircraft, bringing it altogether in the best fashion that it can.
New and improved night lighting is being used in this mod to help make sure you can see where you are going as you fly around. If you are worried about trying to fly into the South Pacific during the dark of the night then you can use this mod to make it easier!
Photorealistic maps are being used to make sure that this represents the real thing, perfectly. Everything has been placed and attributed perfectly to bring it all together, giving the airport a much more authentic look and feel than ever before. It ensures the airport carries all of the hallmarks of the real thing.
Fresh changes to the textures ensures that the airport looks as authentic as it can. Whilst some features could not be included to their full potential, this remake of the airport does everything it can to include each and every feature – major and minor – into each section.
Faithfully carries the shape and design of the real thing, bringing it all together to look the very best that it can whilst optimizing various features along the way. Improves the overall level of performance around the airport, too, ensuring that it looks wonderful without ever hampering the desired performance.
New rain precipitation effects are included on the ground. This not only makes the ground more authentic, but adds a genuine design feature that brings the whole airport together to look its best. Please note though that this feature is only available for FSX and P3D, not FS2004.
Totally compatible with FSX DirectX 10 Preview Mode, too. If you want to have that new level of realism and attention to detail then this can be just what you have to do, bringing it all together in a clearly represented and detailed manner to make sure the whole airport looks the part.
Works perfectly with Prepar3D v1 and v2 – you don’t need to have v3 if you wish to use this modification, it’s compatible with both!
About Nadi International
The airport itself is the main airport used to enter the nation known as the Republic of Fiji, as well as being one of the main airports used for entrance to the South Pacific Islands.
Because of its size as well as its proximity too many other key parts of Fiji, this has become a main part of travel and tourism within the region. Thanks to the massive changes brought to life by this modification, you can finally see this airport in the way that it was supposed to be shown.
This airport is based on the western side of the main island, Viti Levu. As the main hub of the national airline, Fiji Airawys, this acts as both the domestic and regional subsidiary for Pacific Sun.
Based just 10km from the city of Nadi and 20km from Lautoka, getting in and around Fiji has never been easier. The airport itself is exceptionally busy, having handled 2,231,300 passengers in 2011 alone! The airport continues to be exceptionally popular amongst travelers to the region despite its rather far distance away from the capital of Suva – roughly a 2 ½ hour drive from the airport!
Typically, this airport is used to the South due to the close proximity of the Sabeto Mountain to the north of the airport which can cause problems for aircraft when they want to come and land here. However, the airport shows no limitations in terms of the help it can provide; in 2008, a Qantas Airbus A380 had to make an emergency landing here to help with a sick patient. This was dealt with easily by the airport.
As the main operational base of Fiji Airways, as well, this plays a key commercial position within the country as well. It served six airports across the southwest Pacific alongside various others which are across the Pacific Rim – Nadi Tower operates as the FIS service for Fua’amotu Airport, Tonga, when the Tower is off watch.
