The TSS AS-350/550 Turbomeca Arriel sound pack for FS2004 is the premier sound pack simulation package for the Eurocopter AS350 Ecureuil single engine intermediate helicopter and the AS355 Ecureuil 2 helicopter.

Originally manufactured by Aérospatiale, a French Aerospace manufacturer, this currently North American marketed, AS350, is currently branded as the North Star. Created for flight in 1974, the AS350 is in used by not only military agencies, but also airline and charter operators as well as emergency medical teams.

A lightweight, multipurpose helicopter, the AS350 is named after the Fennec Fox, a mode of transportation currently used by the French and Danish militaries. With the use of sound provided by Royal Danish Army helicopters, both the AS350 and the AS550 use the realistic Turbomeca Ariel Engine for an accurate flight simulation experience.

With engine sounds recorded in top of the line TSS HD audio quality, users will be subjected to real sounds recorded only a few feet away from the engine of the Royal Danish P-276. Amazingly realistic, the virtual reality of a 35 foot, 1 inch rotor combined with power of a Turbomeca Arriel 2B turboshaft, gives this soundpack the true to life touch needed for an exhilarating, virtual experience.

Manufacturers Description

The Eurocopter AS350 Ecureuil is a single engined intermediate helicopter originally manufactured by Aérospatiale (now part of Eurocopter Group). The AS350 is marketed in North America as the AStar. The AS355 Ecureuil 2 is a twin engined variant, while the Eurocopter EC130 is a derivative of the AS350 airframe.

The Eurocopter AS550 Fennec and AS555 Fennec 2 are lightweight, multipurpose military helicopters manufactured by Eurocopter Group. Based on the AS350 Ecureuil and AS355 Ecureuil 2 series, they are named after the Fennec Fox. The armed versions of the AS550 and AS555 can be fitted with coaxial weapons, rockets, torpedoes and various other munitions.

Both the AS-350 and the AS-550 uses the same Turbomeca Arriel engine.
