Deltasim Studio has just launched HMS King George V battleship for Microsoft Flight Simulator X users. King George V participated during the Second World War and features multiple bladed propellers and geared turbines. It measures an amazing 745 feet and can achieve maximum speeds of 28 knots. It can carry up to four super marine seaplanes and can carry a wide range of armaments including naval guns, anti-aircraft guns and bombs.
This polygon optimized simulation model features full moving parts for switches, fire consoles, gates and canons. The sound effects are mind blowing with custom digital effects for land explosion, cannon shots, turrets, and gun shots. The interactive virtual cockpit features a stunning array of instruments that display ship speed, distance from the shore, temperature, pressure and anchor drops.
This warship is equipped with conventional small tube boilers that can give an incredible horsepower of 100,000 shafts. Each boiler weights about 416 tons and delivers increased fuel and boiler efficiency. Multiple sets of geared turbines are arranged in a double helical shape in order to get optimum displacement. The cruising turbine is connected to the high pressure turbine and an astern turbine is connected to the low pressure one for optimum output.
A wide variety of warning and failure systems are incorporated to alert the crew. King George V also comes with ten different naval guns mounted on twin turrets that could be elevated by 50 degrees. Each gun is capable of firing every 40 seconds with perfect precision. The anti-aircraft guns come with gyroscopic target tracking. The innovative cannon shots, guided anti-aircraft guns, and moving turrets makes this warship a powerful one.
This full package comes with a detailed instruction manual for beginners. Go for a good graphics card and additional memory for the best performance. Download this beautiful warship and experience the incredible power of this beast.
Manufacturers Description
HMS King George V - class battleship was the flagship of the British Fleet during II WW. Was built by Vickers-Armstrong at Walker's Naval Yard - Newcastle upon Tyne and commissioned on 11 December 1940. On May 1941 the ship participated in sinking the German Bismarck battleship. King George was withdrawn from the duty in 1957.
The ship has moving parts ie.: all cannon turrets (horizontally and vertically), fire console, switches, gates, doors and many more. The ship has custom effects (water and land explosion, gunshots) and sounds.
This is very accurate, very detailed model built for FSX SP2 with native DirectX textures, custom effects, gauges and sounds. The model has unique cannon shooting and turrets moving. Moreover all 133 mm turrets have cartridges for 20 missiles (10 shots) for firing in one session - 160 missiles in total. Next, all 356 mm turrets have 10 missiles for cannon of type: armor-piercing or anti-aircraft and 10 missiles of type: water-bomb for better localizing the water target (ships, submarines, platform, etc.). In total you have 200 missiles = 60 shots in one session.
